What Equipment do I Need for Softball and Baseball?
Whether you're an amateur or a professional, we have the mainstays for your game. Here is some information on the basic equipment to get you started:
Softball and Baseball Bats
A high-performance bat is essential for every player. MVP Athletic Supplies carries brand name bats for each sport and level of play. Quality softball and baseball bats are made from either wood, metal or composite materials. Wood bats are durable and used by professional baseball players; they are traditionally made of ash, but maple and bamboo bats have recently become popular. Metal bats, usually made of aluminum, are lighter and allow players to swing faster. Composite bats provide increased performance and durability. Multi-layer construction absorbs shock and increases the ‘sweet-spot.’
Softball and Baseball Gloves
The first step for finding a softball or baseball glove is to consider your game. Softball gloves are designed to catch larger balls than baseball gloves. Your position is important too. Outfielders will generally want a larger glove with deep pockets to catch out-of-the-air balls. Infielders use smaller gloves to accommodate quick throws. MVP Athletic Supplies has a variety of glove sizes, ranging from 9” to 14”.

The last point to consider is glove design. Close-back and open-back designs provide different levels of support. Close-back gloves have a closed space between the knuckles. They provide increased support and are easier to catch with. Conversely, open-back gloves are more flexible and offer increased mobility.

What is your return policy?
You can either exchange the merchandise or return for a refund. All we ask is that you return the product in the condition that you received it, within 30 days. All returned goods must have a return authorization number. Please contact us at 1-800-910-1012 to receive your RA #, prior to shipping the items back to us. Please include a copy of the invoice or a note with the name of the account and invoice number in the return package. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.
What is your warranty policy?
An original receipt is required by all manufacturers for warranty issues. Please retain you original receipt for this purpose.
